Welcome to Jackson's Garden, a private nonprofit, 501-c-3, membership-based community garden in Sheridan Montana.
Since 2009, Jackson's Garden has been helping our community to access fresh healthy foods, learn about gardening, and enjoy the benefits of our natural world. Our mission is to sustainably support gardening for production, education, and the enjoyment of our community. This mission is carried out by dedicated and passionate volunteers who believe that access good food and the enjoyment of our natural world are the inherent rights of all people in our community.
Donated in 2010 by Les "Bing" Jackson, the 8.5 acre property features 2 acres of developed flower and vegetable gardens, a half mile of undisturbed streamside habitat, a small apple orchard, greenhouse, gazebo, and a lawn area perfect for picnics and community events - all maintained by our members and volunteers.
As our community knows, gardening in Southwestern Montana is no easy thing. We strive to utilize and promote best practices in sustainable agriculture - practices that are sustainable both for the land, and for the people using it.
Getting to the Garden is easy - from Sheridan, head East on Mill Creek Road for 2 miles. You'll see the garden on your left - look for the greenhouse and our deer fence.
